Our member harbco works for emergency services and is providing dozens of aerial pics from Kemah and Seabrook Texas of the devastation left behind by hurrican Ike. Feel free to link to these pics but do not post them on other sites. This thread also features pics from The Joker who is on the ground in Houston and Galveston providing electrical services.

Parrothead and family rode out hurricane Ike and have some great pics to show for it. They endured some hard times but felt confident they were on high enough ground to avoid any real danger. It turns out they were indeed in danger but all worked out well.
Another member "skatin" had some property and a boat on Galveston Island. He took some great pics of the devastation there.
The Joker is working in Galveston and sending us pics on this thread.

Member Gedo and a slew of Lake Texoma Party Boaters had a tie up on Wood Island over the weekend. The group (mostly from Highport Marina) showed that the real party starts after Labor Day. After partying together all day most stayed for an overnight camp out on the island and enjoyed a huge bonfire. Gedo posted some great pics of this event in our Party Boating Forum.

BBvrod and his lovely wife not only took the 105th anniversay of harley davidson ride from Shreveport to Milwaukee, but they also got to tour the coveted Harley Davidson collection at the new Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee Wisconsin. This valued collection has only recently been opened to public viewing so pics are rare on the internet. BBvrod has given us dozens of pics from this collection and posted them in our Wheels, Wings and Wild Women bikers forum.

Our favorite rambling travelling couple Inya4 take Labor Day off to visit some of Texas most interesting landmarks and provide us a fascinating pictorial. They visited the Space Caverns, Enchanted Lake and the beautiful Hamilton Pool and provide us a truly interesting pictorial not only for Lake Pirates Forum but for our Pirate Party Pic section. Saturday September 5th during a Poker Run on Lake Cumberland a well known 36' Skater with Pamela Anderson graphics lost control. The owner/driver lost his life and one passenger is critically injured. According to reports, a 2003 Skater 36 catamaran based in Greenwood IN flipped on a boat wake while traveling at a speed of around 130 miles per hour.
